| Based on the actual interior of the historic Twentieth Century Limited, the three train compartments highlight the features of the deluxe rooms and the "Observation Car" of the famous Deco-era train. To capture the movement of the train and its travel across the country, the train moves back and forth, and the train station elements track across stage to capture the feeling of arriving at and departing from the stations. |
| From a review: "The real show stealer is scenic designer Andrea Bechert's reproduction of the interior of the train. It coughs steam, jiggles, moves up, down and sideways. When it finally steams into its final destination the audience feel like they have actually been on the "Twentieth Century." read the full review |
